Summary!!

Fallout was an incredible book. There was not one part in the book that I ever wanted to put the book down. It was exciting throughout the whole story. This book is a sequel to Crank and Glass. It is about a young girl named Kristina who is addicted to drugs. She has five children, three of them are telling the story of their lives. The three eldest are Hunter, Summer, and Autumn. They are the ones telling the story. Hunter is the oldest of the three he is nineteen. He's living with his grandparents, Kristina's parents. He has a job at a radio station. He has a girlfriend that he loves. Autumn is living with her aunt and her grandfather. Her aunt gets married and she is left taking care of her grandfather who is sick until her father shows up at her house and they go for a trip. Summer was not aware about her brothers and sister. She lives with her drug addict father and his girlfriend. She goes from living at her home to going to a foster home. In the end they are all tied together by one person, Kristina, but are all living different places with different fathers and different last names.

Author Bibliography

Ellen Hopkins is an amazing writer. She has really inspired me in many different ways. Fallout is a sequel to Crank, and Glass, both of which the books I have read and she has wrote. She keeps all of her books very interesting and never lets them die down. She mentioned in her author's note that she wanted her last book, Fallout to be the strongest, I believe she has done so. Her writing gives off many lessons to learn from and she writes her stories based off real life experiences. She has also written many other books known as, Burned, Impulse, Identical, and Tricks. All of these novels were incredible and based off of true stories. What I love about this author, Ellen Hopkins is that she writes all of her books in poem format, each page is like a poem. Not only, does she write like that but she also does not have chapters. Since there are three people speaking in the novel Fallout she has each of them speak a little at a time.

The 5 quotes I will always remember...

1. This quote was said by all three of the kids, "I hope for trust. Joy. Courage. Honesty. Belief. Belonging." (page 662)
2. Hunter, Summer, and Autumn said this one, "..Look very long at Kristina, I see me me me."(page 662)
3. The oldest child, Hunter, mentioned this, "Mindless, Jealousy. I want his love."(page 484)
4. Summer said, "Labels. Loser. Loner. Stoner. Stuck-up. F***-up." (page 523)
5. The fifth one, but definitely one of the strongest is said by Kyle who is summers boyfriend, "I dont care about my truck. I dont care about Mammoth. All I care about is you."(page 623)
